First Solid

Tonight was your first try at rice cereal. You did awesome. I was actually a little sad that you didn't make any adorable grossed out reactions. You don't quite understand the spoon concept but you loved the food. I'm excited to try baby food with you at six months. Maybe I will get a funnier reaction then. Either way, I think you just like to eat. You get that from your mother. 

Also, did you notice how all your hair is starting to fall out? Its kinda funny.

Roll over

You just rolled over for your first time unassisted! Woohoo! We wanted to try a couple more times to make sure it was not a fluke but you started to get fussy cuz it's nap time. We will try more later.

Four Months

You are finally starting to get bigger. You've grown 6 pounds and 6 inches since birth.

This month you are holding your head up and are getting pretty strong.
You hate tummy time and when we place you on your tummy you try your hardest to roll over, but you just can't do it yet.
You chew on your hand all the time.
We think you may have a tooth coming in. Sometimes I swear I feel it and other times I can't.
Your hair is starting to grow and its a light brown / dark blond color.
You don't sleep through the night yet, but we're working on it. We are hoping it will happen soon.
You wake up between 5 and 6:30 every morning but I can usually convince you to go back to sleep as long as I am holding you. So every morning we have a very long cuddle session and I try to fall back asleep but I'm usually in a very uncomfortable position so it's hard. Hence, I sit awake and blog.
You are still an extremely happy baby
You smile all the time and react to us when we do silly things.
You love to watch TV and read books.
You want to be anywhere where people are. You hate missing the action.
Your swing is your best friend. You take a nap in there at least once a day. You are not loving baths as much as you used to, you more just love being naked after your bath. You are starting to be able to hold objects and kind of learn to play with them. You are currently hanging out in my arms early in the morning and keep playing with my nose. I wish you would go back to sleep but I think you are awake for the day. I really miss sleep.
You love hanging out with your Dad, you have really enjoyed having him home all of winter break.

You are in size 1 diapers
You wear size 0-3 clothing, finally.
We go to church sometimes but your Mom is still a germ freak and tries to keep you home a lot.

I think twilight and pitch perfect too but my memory sucks these days. I blame the lack of sleep.

Oh my little.

Today marks the four months you have been in this world. Today we spent a quite day at home just you and me. You took a nice long nap with me today to make up for your stinky behavior last night. We ate cuddling in the rocking chair as you fall in and out of sleep while eating your bottle. The grandfather clock in the corner chimes every 15 minutes not allowing you to sleep too long. A storm is coming and outside is dark and gloomy. There really is no place I would rather be then inside snuggled with you, unless of course Dad came to join us, then it would be perfect. I love you, tiny face. The days are long but the years just seems to be shorter and shorter.
