*update* you have been kicked out of our bedroom. Not because I wanted you too but because we needed to try it. Madison hates sleeping in her own room and still ends up on our floor or bed every night. However we told her you could sleep in your crib in her room and she was very happy with the idea so the two of you now share a room and Madison will actually sleep in there. What is really funny is that I usually take you back to my room for the 5am feeding because you just sit awake and grunt for a few hours after and I swear the minute you leave the room Madison knows because within 5 minutes of you being gone she comes walking in to my room. It's kinda sweet how much she loves you. And really I don't care if you guys end up in my bed every morning. As long as you continue to sleep in till 8:30am then I'm happy.
No real smiles yet, just gas bubbles.
Eating 2-3 oz every two hours
You are now eating more then my boobs can produce so it looks like youre going to be a formula kid.
You poop once every other day and seem to battle tummy issues on the non poop days.
You adore your sister and are always happy when she holds you.
Wearing newborn clothes and diapers.
Weighs 8.2lb and 21 inches long.
Hair lighter brown and eyes are still a dark navy grey color. I can't wait to see what they turn out to be.
You are a pretty chill baby and like to suck on your fingers.
You dislike being swaddled at night because you always want your hands by your face.
If you're crying in the car madi and I sing to you and it usually calms you down pretty quickly.
I am seriously surprised and amazed at the love Madison has for her baby brother. None of the regressing and acting out you hear about. She is nothing but sweet and understanding of Braden. She asks to hold him multiple times a day and is always coming over and loving on him. I am so impressed with th big sister that she is. I think we did a good job prepping her and talking about the change. She understands her role and we constantly giving her praise for her good choices and all her help.
We love our little bubba so much. It's crazy that he has only been here a month but it feels like he should have been here all along. He fits so perfectly into our family. We are truly blessed with such a sweet boy.
This week Madison, Braden and I leave for a 10 hour road trip to Windsor California for the Powell family reunion. Wish us luck because I am terrified.
