Rough night

You're having another rough night. I have no clue what is bothering you but you have woken up several times since I have put you to bed. These nights just happen every once and a whiles and my heart is sad for you. I wish you could just say "I'm teething and it hurts" or " I had a bad dream, please cuddle me" or " I just want to stay up late and hang out". Either way that's the rough part of being a parent. We never know what you want. Today during nap time you rolled over and slept on your tummy. Maybe that is what would make you happy? Either way I'm just gonna say it, I miss these late nights. I'm not saying I would like to go back to the newborn stage and be up every few hours for months, all I'm saying is I like the quiet moments with just you and me. You now take two naps a day and put yourself to sleep which means I no longer get to rock and cuddle you until you fall asleep. I cried the first day you did that. You decided completely on your own that is what you wanted to do. I never let you cry it out. So now when my very little big girl lets me cuddle her, even for a minute, it makes me so happy. Because I know as the years go on, those minutes will be fewer and further In between.

8 months

Two teeth
Still blonde hair and blue eyes
Fave foods are anything sweet.
Diaper size 2
Clothing size 3-6 months but more towards 6 months now.
Favorite toy anything you can put in your mouth.
Height 28"
Weight
Feeding you 4oz every bottle and two solid feedings a day,  soon they will be changing to three times a day. You are going to eat us out of house and home.

Sleeping 10-11 hours at night (FINALLY!!!)
Almost crawling but you hate tummy time so I think its going to be a while until you actually crawl.
Loves water.
Love going on walks and being outside.
You used to love veggies but now are starting to protest whenever I give them to you. I think your sweet tooth is in full effect.
You have really found your voice and often I catch you singing to yourself while you play.
You are very much mommas girl and want to be everywhere I am.
You are getting good at self feeding. This month we started several little finger foods and love to just sit in your high chair and eat.
You giggle whenever you play with other babies, you love them to pieces.
You tried chocolate and strawberries for the first time this month, you LOVED them both and are upset I now do not feed them to your for every meal.
You are a very social eater. It does not matter when the last time I fed you was, if we are going out to eat you want to be part of the action. Now we just set you in the high chair with snacks and you hang out and enjoy it.
You are pretty good in public and most people are just in love with your smile.
We took you to another movie this month, it was called 42; The Jackie Robinson Story and Iron Man 3. I was not sure how you would do because you are starting that "cant sit still" phase and church is sometimes challenging. However you did great. Ate snacks, took a small nap and it was only the last 10 minutes that you wanted me to stand and hold you. In Iron Man you slept the entire time! I don't blame you, it was a 2 1/2 hour movie PLUS previews.
You are loving the extra time with Daddy now that he has graduated from college.
You run around in your walker and again love being part of the action.
You hate being alone someone always has to be in the room with you.
You have been obsessed with MY hair lately. You must play with it while you fall asleep and if I try to take it out of your hands you wake up screaming. Guess I can never cut it but it does drive me crazy when you rip out some on accident. I want to scream because it hurts but you are almost asleep. I find it comical. You try to play with dads short hair too when he rocks you to sleep.
